A Family Business, An Ocean Apart
Island Export began in [YEAR] with Pepe and Rosemary Cavitolo — and with the islands themselves. Rosemary's family belongs to the Seychelles; her people have called its shores home for generations. Pepe built a business to keep two worlds connected, carrying goods from South Africa across the Indian Ocean to the archipelago.
Then a young Stuart Meyers joined the firm. He had known Emmanuelle, Pepe and Rosemary's daughter, since they were young — but by then she was working in London, home only when the holidays allowed. For years the two of them lived the same rhythm the business ran on: departures, arrivals, and the long stretches in between. Some cargo, it turns out, refuses to stay ashore. In [YEAR] Stuart and Emmanuelle married.
When Pepe crossed his final horizon, they took the helm together. Today Island Export is still what it has always been — a family carrying South Africa to the Seychelles, one shipment, one customer, one promise at a time.
